Our Services

Backflow Inspection

GateKeepersFS has decades of experience in testing all types and sizes of backflow preventers, both interior and exterior systems. It is required that these assemblies be tested annually to preserve quality and prevent the contamination of drinking water. During the annual visit, we test check valves, relief valves, buffers, air inlet, and shut off valves. A comprehensive report will be provided to you. All backflow preventers are inspected per the ASSE and ABBA Standards. We can also evaluate and help to mitigate possible theft issues.

Emergency Exit Inspection

GateKeepersFS provides inspection of Emergency Exit Lighting for offices, commercial buildings, industrial buildings or other specialized lighting needs. We carry a supply of bulbs, batteries and all necessary equipment so we can generally finish the inspection quickly. NFPA101 requires that all your lights be tested for certain criteria. We can perform these checks during any fire inspection. We provide load testing of all lighting installations throughout your facility, checking all batteries, bulbs, and circuitry, replacing worn or non-functioning lights, batteries or other parts as needed.

Smoke, Photo, Heat Detector Inspection

Detectors – smoke, heat, photo – are you first line of defense against a destructive and potentially deadly fire. We will make sure your detection system is installed and functioning properly and reliably. Your detectors should always be hard–wired and backed up with batteries, just in case you lose power. All detectors must be inspected at least annually to ensure that they are up to the task of alerting you in the event of a fire or smoke. GateKeepersFS will provide complete annual functional test of the entire fire alarm system as well as sensitivity testing of smoke, heat, photo detectors.

Backflow Cross Connection Surveys

A cross connection is the actual physical connection between the drinking water distribution system and any substance of questionable quality. A cross connection commonly occurs when a water hose is left running and is submerged in a source of contaminated water. If a backflow event were to occur, these substances could enter the drinking water supply and possibly be distributed throughout the public water system where numerous consumers would be exposed to these substances. We are certified to provide you with a comprehensive Cross Connection Survey to identify any potential problems and then to offer solutions.

Extinguisher Certification

Count on GateKeepersFS to professionally inspect and, if needed, replace your fire extinguishers and keep your certifications current. We perform comprehensive tests to ensure that all aspects of your extinguisher are in working order. A, B, C dry chemical, Class K kitchen extinguishers. Recharging of all extinguishers, inspection for proper working order, checking the hose, handles, pressure gauges and seals, all maintenance dates and temper guards inspected, required hydro-testing for cylinders all to keep your fire extinguishers working properly. NFPA10 requires that you have your extinguishers professionally inspected once yearly. You also need a full maintenance check every 6 years, and a hydrostatic pressure check every 12 years.

Fire System Control Box Inspection

Regular testing of your Fire System Control Box is essential to maintaining a fully functional system. We inspect it for damage and proper function, provide any needed service, and then certify it. As with any other system, electronics and other components can degrade over time and compromise the system’s operation. Dust, dirt, and other contaminants can cause problems. With proper testing, inspection, and maintenance you can keep your fire alarm system at optimum operating performance. In addition to ensuring protection, keeping your system in good condition reduces expenses by preventing un-budgeted emergency maintenance and costly false alarms.
